What format do you need the art in?
We need vector art files, either in Adobe Postscript (.eps), Illustrator (.ai), .cdr, or .pdf format. When saving your file, please make sure it contains no raster image (JPEG, BMP, GIF, etc.).
Make sure that all fonts are outlined, or converted to curves. Raster Images may be accepted for, a full color imprint. In the case of a full color imprint, we welcome high quality raster images!
Please note precise details as to PMS color numbers, crop marks, and placement on your purchase order and the art file.
My file isn't in the correct format, what do I do?
If you do not have the proper format, we can convert it for an additional fee (see fees menu
I need the design typeset, can I request this service?
Yes, KTI will typeset. KTI will not be responsible for any art or typesetting errors after proof approval.
For custom imprints, will I see a proof?
Yes! Even on reorders, we insist on providing a proof for approval to make certain the appropriate reorder artwork is referenced. Production will not begin until after the proof is approved.
I sent my art. How soon will I see a proof?
On orders with a custom imprint, digital proofs are sent to customer within 1 business day. Please refer to the individual product pages for standard production times, or contact your KTI Representative.
What is a proof?
A proof is a digital representation of the finished product and not exact. It confirms the logo position, location, and PMS color codes. Because screen resolutions vary, the image may look distorted when sent electronically. If paper proof is faxed, the product and logo may appear distorted or jagged.
I've seen the proof, but I want to make some changes; can I?
If changes need to be made, note these on the form, check the appropriate box, and fax it back to us.
A second paper proof will be sent once the artwork has been changed. Please note that changing the order or postponing artwork approval may result in delivery/shipping delays or additional rush/imprinting.
If proofing exceeds 3 revisions, an additional proof charge (see fees menu
) may apply. Please note, once the proof has been approved, the order is sent into production.
Any changes made AFTER the proof is approved may result in additional charges based on the production status of the order.
